Day 25

Friday gone and another good day besides the lack of exercise, I came in slightly over my calorie limit at 1555 cals. I was lured in by some late night popcorn that my wife had, we watched 3:10 train to Yuma, it was an ok flick, we watched the Russel Crow version. I cannot stay off of that scale! I have to try harder I guess lol its steadily going down day to day so I am happy with that but I really think the psychological advantage will be seeing it come off in a big chunk instead of a little each day.

I still have a bit of sore throat and a little bit of something going on in my chest, but feeling better than yesterday, hopefully it goes away today or I wake up tomorrow and its gone. I honestly want to ride the bike :) and we were invited to go to my Mother in laws for a Sunday dinner again, but if I am sick I don't want to get anyone sick that doesn't have to be sick. with that I give you the menu for the day.

I can't wait to get rid of this cold or whatever it is so I can get back on the bike. also I cannot wait till Tuesday for my "official weigh in" again I thank you for reading and for all of your comments.

  1. I like that menu from yesterday! Looks like you had some yummy stuff!
55 over is nothing. Like you said, you've been under so many days, that it evens out.
Staying off the scale: I've just given up on staying off the scale. I guess I've decided that if I weigh myself every morning, I will try hard that day to keep the number from going up the next morning. Of course, it often does, but only temporarily. I still like the idea of having an "official" weigh in day on Tuesdays, which will "count." All of the other days I weigh myself don't actually "count," so I don't worry about them as much I guess. So, keep your loss a secret until Tuesday! That's what I'm going to do! Then, we'll try extra hard this weekend and on Monday to "be good" and nudge that number on the scale on down.
    Have a great weekend!

  2. Mmmmmm, Cheese and crackers. That sounds yummy. The scale has been calling my name this week too! I have to be diligent this weekend with my food choices.
I think yesterday was just a tough day everywhere. I read quite a few blog's this morning, and we all said the same thing. We all had a hunger to feed.
Keep up the good work, and I hope the weight continues to keep falling. Once you are back 100% health wise, you'll be back exercising again. Dont push yourself. Get well. Have a great weekend, and YES, I will try to get out early today. Will write about it when I get back.

  3. I can't wait to see how you do this week. Even though you have an idea since you have stepping on that darn scale everyday!

Keep up the good work, I love that you are documenting it...it will be great to go back in a year and see where you have been and where you are!

    Sandy,
The cheese and crackers was great! I love Vermont sharp cheddar.I might just have to add it to my "snacks" :)

    Kim,
first, thanks for reading! and yeah I think it will be cool to take a look at the older posts in a year or so and see whats changed/stayed the same. I also have Excel sheets from each week with all on my intake on it just like on the blog :)

  7. Salsa chicken... Mmmmmm
I tend to stick with the same foods during the day and dinner is my meal to experiment. Do you drink any kind of protein drinks? Every morning, I start out with
an EAS Advant Edge Carb Control- 17 grams of protein, 2 gr carb, 3 gr fat and only 110 calories. I cant imagine this without them. Keeps my tummy happy for hours. Then a Lean Cuisine- Lemon grass Chicken every lunch. I LOVE it. As long as the pounds continue to drop, I'll stick with my routine. I'm sure there will be a point at which the body will recognize a pattern, and then I will have to change it up. I too love cheese, but the amount of calories just isnt worth it for me right now.
Keep on going- Cant wait to see how we all did on Tues, weigh in day. My goal is to leave the 200's behind.
Didnt make it on the hike today, but cut/shlepped branches from a very large pine tree that was overgrown. Definitely a work out- 1 hour in total.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Hello to Wify!!! :--)

  8. Yummy! Your menu's are always so yummy! Don't worry about the little 50 cals you went over.. I sorta went over by 200 today!!! I am stuck at 214 lbs. have been for 2 weeks so I am going to try to up my calories from 1200 to 1400 to 1600 and then drop back down to 1200. Maybe then I will get out of this rut I seem to be in with my loss.

You are doing fantastic as always. I am looking forward to tuesday. It will be so cool 6 months from now to see the change! I feel taht there will be a big change! You seem very commited.

Best of Luck & Get Well Soon!
