Its a new month and I partially cannot believe I am still doing this. when I started I fully expected it to be another failed attempt and here I am a month later and doing great, and feeling even better. I did go over my calories for the day by 10, I was abnormally hungry all day and honestly went over by the 10 because I miscounted some calories. I thought I had it at 1500 but I go in and double check the meals for the day at the end of the day, it is what it is.
With My reward of getting myself a bike and making a Cafe racer out of it, I think I have decided on a Honda CB550. the reasons? anything under a 600cc gets an insurance break, they look very cool, and I have been reading that for a 550cc bike they are pretty strong. I am not looking for something to "race" I want something to ride around on, on a nice summer day and something to tweak on my own with parts and make a sorta custom cafe. I still have to find one and take it for a ride or at least sit on it to see if its the size I want, I am after all nearly six and a half feet tall :). ok enough about the bike I am going to get lol.
Onto the menu.

Thanks for following along.

10 over on your calories is not worth worrying about at all. You were a couple hundred under yesterday, right? Or more than that...I can't remember right now.
ReplyDeleteThat bike is really pretty. Will you be getting one with yellow like that or a different color? I like the yellow. I bet one with some electric blue would look cool, too.
This will not be another failed attempt!! You're going to get on here and post every day, and you won't want to have to admit that you gave up and quit the plan. You will keep this up, so that you can be proud of yourself every day, and feel better and better about yourself. Not to mention feeling better, physically! This is how I'm going to be, too! It is a little surprising that I've lasted this long. I don't think I could have done it without the blog. I'm a big fan of the blog thing now, and that's all thanks to you!
Talk to you later, Harrison. ;)

ReplyDeleteI accidentally posted my comment twice, and deleted one of them Whoops.
ReplyDeleteTony- I think at this point in this, you are in it for the right reasons. It's not a "diet", you are enjoying it, and you are proud and confident in your choices. You have a wife who is supportive, and you of her, and it's a new path in your life. Follow it, never looking back. I agree with Robyn, I think this Blogging thing has made all the difference in my success. I take some credit too, dont get me wrong, but I believe the blog and support from other bloggers help keep me accountable in the beginning weeks. I do believe it is now a habit for me- the eating part anyway. Will continue to work on the exercise part til that becomes habit too.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I had to lower my calories by about 75 with my new weight. What we all need to remember is to adjust our calories , if we are working out consistently. I found I wasnt doing that, and was needing a nap during the afternoon.
Keep on going Tony and Wify. You are really a great motivators!
I'm really impressed that you're able to stay at 1500 calories. For your weight, that seems really low. I read somewhere than a man should never go under 1500 calories and a woman never should go under 1200. Congrats on the weight loss so far. It seems like the longer we do this, the easier it gets, eh? I read somewhere that it takes 21 days to create a habit :D
ReplyDeleteThank you all for the comments! I love reading comments :)
ReplyDeleteHeatherDw,
Welcome to my little part of cyperspace! Glad to see someone else reading the blog :) I agree that its easier the longer we do it. I find it very easy as far as the menu goes, the exercise is getting there as well!
wait until you ladies read the menu for Saturday! I was borderline naughty, but when I added t up I was still under so I am happy for that!
Thanks for all of the kind words
