Day 65

I find myself settling into a groove because of the low loss for last week, I realize that its cool if I lose only 2 lbs in a week. a loss is a loss is a loss is the way I am going to look at it. I am struggling a bit this week because I cannot ride my bike, someone suggested that I get a workout DVD to replace the bike when it is not possible to ride etc, I will look into that because not riding is literally driving me nuts. I ran up and down the stairs 7 times (harder that I thought it would be) and did my push ups, and I did a weight lifting routine for day 65 to get some movement in, I was sweating and my heart rate was up from the stairs. I wouldn't call it Cardio but it was movement and I can feel it in my shoulders a bit this morning so I am happy with my improvised workout.

The weather will be warm soon and then I can go out on walks with my daughter more often and not worry about the bike so much, I do think I will start bringing something for her to ride in/on so that I can walk at a faster pace, or carry her for half of the walk, after all if I add my weight to hers I weigh less than when I started, even with carrying her and if I was able to do it then I should be able to do it now with that weight. she carries my wifes little pink 2lb weights around and says "look dada ecsise me" so habits are being formed and I like that. My son and I were talking the other day and I asked him if he could do 60 push ups (as this is how many I have been doing daily) and he dropped to the floor and started going at it. I think both of my children are benefiting from My new lifestyle change, they see Dad doing it and they want to do it too, This makes me happy.

Random pic of the day

Over all its a good week besides the non exercise bit. I will try and get out for a walk today (Thursday) it is very sunny out currently but I don't know how cold it is so that will determine whether I get a walk or not, the kiddo complains if its windy, wet, cold, hot, or snowing lol so I need to watch all that stuff to make a decision. with that I give you the menu.

  2. Sounds like you need something to fill the bike void! I think the stairs was a great idea. And it most definitely is aerobic. Maybe not for 20 mins, but it gets your heart rate up, huh? The weather has been great the last couple days. Glad you could enjoy some of it. I went outside at lunch today. Made it really hard to go back in and train. Looking forward to your #'s tomorrow.

  3. Up and down the stairs 7 times, huh? I bet that would be hard! Way to improvise!
Good luck finding those workout DVDs. :)
Still doing great with your calories - no surprise there.
Hope the weather warms up for you soon! It's snowing here again, and we're expecting another big one like we got on Tuesday! The weather here is so crazy. 11 inches of snow on Tuesday, 65 degrees and sunny on Wednesday, and now snow again. I love it, though!!
