Oh deary me a three day post because of an internet issue.

Today is Tuesday July 8th, and I still have no internet at home, I am at my mother in laws house feeding her snakes so I thought I would hop on and post up how stuff is going. my internet has been down since Saturday and will not be back up until this Friday so I do not know if I will be able to get a new post up until then, hopefully I can. I do have a post typed out in word for today but for some reason it didn't make it onto my thumb drive when I loaded it up so I will post it when I can. so without further delay here is a post. I hope to see many comments when next I return :)

I wrote the following on Monday as if I were posting it.

From here down is from Monday 07-07-08

So, I guess you heard, I had an internet problem and could not get online almost all weekend so here is the make up post, it may go a little long and I am typing it out in word as if I were posting it a soon as I am done. So Saturday was your average day as far as Saturdays goes I made a pot of my chili chicken pepper soup which was started around noon and was finished by 5:30pm just in time for dinner and a little more rearranging in the living room. My intake for this day was 1030 calories before the popcorn that I had later in the evening which I estimate at roughly at 305 calories, 12 cups air popped popcorn at 240, 1 tbsp of Smart Balance omega 3 spread at 50 and a couple shakes of Cheddar cheese popcorn seasoning at 15, so I guess its not an estimate after all. So with my quick addition it brings Saturday to 1335 calories with the late night popcorn. I will admit that I slacked in the exercise dept on Saturday, but it was more because I was very busy and by the end of the night was just plain old beat from moving furniture around all day but I did nothing that would be considered an exercise routine next to a few push ups.

Here is the Menu from Saturday.

9:00 AM
2oz grilled chicken 100
2 slices whole wheat bread 140
1 tbsp miracle whip 35
small dill pickle 5

3:45 PM
3/4 cup peas 80
3/4 cup white rice 150
1.5oz grilled chicken 75

6:45 PM
2 cups home made pepper chicken soup 300
1/2 oz corn chips 60

7:45 PM
1 pear 85

10:30 PM
Big Ol bowl of popcorn 305

Grand total of 1335 calories.

My son was pouting because I let his sister play with his clay and the baby said "why he sad Dada?" and I made this bust of my son out of said clay. I thought I would post a random picture for you just for fun.

Sunday was another busy day because it was bulk shopping day and we were out shopping for groceries for a couple hours and let me tell you, pushing a cart around a store for more than 2 hours filled with 7 gallon jugs of Arizona diet green teas, 6 whole chickens, 6 gallons of water, my daughter in the seat of the cart and my son standing on the front of the cart along with all of the rest of the things we were buying, that cart was HEAVY! And I sort of stacked it heavy on purpose to get a little extra exertion into the day while doing my daily. My intake..ahhh my intake, although I did make it under calories I do not feel like this was a good day intake wise, I came in at 1346 calories for the day and was not hungry all day but I know that I ate a lot of sodium and a lot of crackers, I woke up late and ate a pear to start the day but then it was laughing cow and Ritz for a late breakfast and add some turkey pepperoni for a lunch, I need to lay off the laughing cow! Dinner was some Nachos that I decided to make sort of spur of the moment while we were in the market, I bought what I though I would need to make a low calorie Nacho plate and it turned out very good. One serving turns out to be about 340 calories and includes Corn tortillas, refried beans, tomato, shredded Mexican style cheddar cheese, onion, olives, jalapeno peppers, a southwestern style salsa and light sour cream. The serving size I made was Huge and half of it would have been enough for a dinner or a good sized lunch, so when you look at the menu for Sunday the dinner slot has the nachos in it and that is 2 servings which I figured out after I made it. I will post exactly what I used and the amounts of each ingredient in a later post.

Here is the menu from Sunday.

10:30 AM
1 pear 85

11:00 AM
12 ritz crackers 168
2 laughing cow wedges 70

4:15 PM
12 ritz crackers 168
2 laughing cow wedges 70
turkey pepperoni 100

6:15 PM
2 oz Tortilla Chips 240
1/2 cup Refried Beans 90
Tomato/Onions/Olives 40
4 tbsp Salsa 30
2oz Mexican Style Cheese 160
2 tbsp light sour cream 40

9:00 pm
1 pear 85

Grand total of 1346 calories.

There is my weekend all typed out, there was much more but since its not exactly related to weight loss I won’t bore you with it. I did buy some ground flax seed to try, I hope it helps out with the ferry leaving on time and daily, and I have to admit that after looking at my intake for the past week or so I do see that I am not eating as many veggies and fruit that I use to and should be. So the refrigerator is stocked with pears, apples, watermelon and a bunch of veggies so that I may get my ruffage into each day and help that boat leave on time. Between adding ground flax seed to my diet and taking note of the lack of vegetation lately I think I will be back on track in that department soon enough, or so I hope. Another post has come to an end and hopefully another pound has been shed, I thank you for following along with this mans “trip to the half”.

As Ever

  1. Hey, adding ground flax is awesome! It's one of the best grains you can get!!! Good job on that! Sorry about the internet...I would probably die without it, even though I don't use it that often. I haven't posted at all since last week for a weigh-in...I really have to update. I have been soooooo insanely busy. I will get a post up tonight. Things are going good...I want a detailed recipe for those nachos...I love nachos!

    Keep up the good work!

  2. Dang...I'm sorry that your internet is still screwed up! I'm having withdrawls here!!! Hope you get it fixed VERY soon.

I'm going to have to go buy some of this mysterious "ground flax seed" stuff that you all have mentioned. I need to figure out something myself to get the ferrys off a little more regularly as well! :)

Looks like you've done a great job lately with the intake, and so I give you two thumbs up in that department! Now...I hope to see more exercise noted in your next post (which will hopefully be sooner, rather than later!!). ;)

Oh, and cute picture of your play-doh figurine of your son! That looks just like something my husband could've made because he's always making something silly and cute and impressive out of play-doh when the kids get that stuff out (which makes such a stinkin mess, it seems, so it doesn't make it out of the containers to play with very often!).
