Weight right there while I hop on this scale.

Lets get right to what the scale had to say to me this morning, first time on it said 322.0 pounds, second hop on again said 322.0 pounds and the third time was more of the same so it looks like a 5 pound drop this week and a new low by 1 pound. I was actually lighter yesterday afternoon at my docs appointment than this morning and think that me staying up until 1am (because of hitting the gym late) drinking water and having a late snack which was within my calories effected the weight this morning a tad. If I were a betting man I would say that next Friday's weigh in will yield me the three teen results that I am looking for if not sometime mid week. Because of the new low this week we get some images of things that weigh the same as I do along with some stuff that weighs as much as I have lost so without further ado here ya go.

This RM-Z250 comes in at 212 pounds and weighs as much as I have lost so far.

While this Vespa GT60 comes in at a whopping 322 pounds and of course that is what I currently weigh.

This weeks weigh in leaves me 47 pounds away from my 275 pound goal and to me that number looks small, some people have 47 pounds to lose and it takes them eons to get there and I just said that it looks small. I suppose that its because I am 212 pounds and 2 years into this whole process so in my mind the time line is a non issue for me where as in the beginning it was all about the time that it would take to get somewhere with the weight loss. Soon I will have lost more weight that I weigh and its a day that I am looking forward to seeing, I need to hit 267 pounds to be at that magical 50% lost mark and that's just 55 pounds and the light at the end of this tunnel that I have been waiting for.

Thursday I came in under my 1700 calories by about 50 or so and I drank more than usual with almost 2 gallons of H2O and 1 gallon of green tea. I did make it to the gym last night around 8:00pm and when I got home I was all hyped up and ended up staying up until around 1:00am drinking about 3/4 of a gallon of that H2O at that point and my sleep suffered a bit last night as well but not too bad and tonight I will get a better nights rest. My trip to the gym was good, I did 30 minutes on the stationary bike followed by 30 minutes on the treadmill at a steady 3.4mph on a 3.5% incline and I passed on weight lifting because of the time that I was there.

Over all a good solid week with a 5 pound total loss and a 1 pound loss if we are basing it off of my lowest weight in this process, I am pleased with the results. Another pound closer to my ultimate goal weight and a week stronger than I was last Friday. Once upon a time I was a 500 pound fella wishing that things could be different and now here I am 212 pounds lighter, I no longer wish for things, instead I do them because we all know that if you wish into one hand and shit into the other which one will fill up first.

That's all I got for today, you can now return to your regularly scheduled program.

Fini..

  2. It seems that the large amount of water, low calorie, and exercise is really working for you. Do you monitor your carbs at all? Do you stopping eating at a certain time everyday. Do you eat breakfast, lunch and dinner?

  5. Thanks for the comments guys ;)

Skylark, no I do not monitor my carbs at all, I just eat as balanced as I can meaning a protein a carb and a veggie at every meal that I can and when I can't like my am is usually a bowl of cereal my mid morning snack will be a fruit usually and lunch will be protein based, I just try and eat what seems balanced...if that makes sense lol. and yes I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner but no I don't have a cut off time for what I eat, as long as my calories are within my range thats all that matters.

  7. I really like your visuals of what you have lost and what you still weigh. If you have done this this long and still churn out numbers like 5 lbs you are doing great.

Are there activities and exercises you do with your family that are easier for you now like your first visit to the park when you had to rest. I sometimes focus on the things I am able to share with my family now in addition to the scale. My kids are older so I am trying in their late teens to model an active lifestyle and include them when I can.

  11. Hey Tony man...it's so great for me to pop on here and see how amazing you are doing and how far you've come. I wish I had stuck with it and not fizzled out :( Trying to get back in a losing state of mind. Where is a good place or way to figure out the # of calories that is a good starting place per day?

  12. I'm reading your blog on an iPhone so it's real small. I smiled when I saw the motorcycle because even before reading the post I knew there was a loss.

I'm so happy for you! You're going to smash that April goal.

  14. Just found your blog today and I have to say, what a great read! Such a great story and very much an inspiration to me, partly due to its similarity to my own. I am approaching the 100 lbs lost mark and haven't done any fad diets or any programs, just changes to my eating and the addition of exercise. My question/observation is this... I've noticed that for the last couple of weeks, as the 100lbs lost milestone approaches, I am thinking about it more and more, and other people who are following my weight loss are talking about it. My losses have been good the last couple of weeks, but things seem to have slowed because it feels like with as long as I've been talking about 100lbs lost, I should be there already. I know it is purely mental, but was wondering if you, or anyone else, had encountered this perceived slowdown while approaching a milestone?

100lbs, when it comes, will be 1/3 of the way to my goal. I'm hoping to go from 499 lbs to right around 200 (I'm 6 feet tall).

And while I'm at it, a self-serving plug, I've just started my own weight loss blog and would love it if any interested parties felt like visiting and offering comments for feedback on my approach. http://thisbraindump.blogspot.com/

    Thank you

  15. Andrew, when the images are swapped I will be an extremely happy fellow!

Swimmer, EVERYTHING is easier! not to mention that I am not on the sidelines watching any more but rather holding the reigns and getting everyone wound up much to Wify's dismay at times ;)

Andee, first again, great to see ya around again ;) and the figuring your calories thing there is a calculation (I have it somewhere) I figured my caloric intake by guessing and watching what happened to my body when I ate X amount etc BUT a little birdie whispered into my ear a way to tweak a calculation and when I did that it turns out my calorie limits were off by 20 calories ;) but honestly I just played with it till it worked.

dNathan, when I hit that 100 pound lost mark I kind of felt like I was starting over and got bummed when I saw 10(x) as my weight, it somehow felt like it was a low number again even though there were 100 pounds lost already, I think weight loss is more a mental thing than anything else so when we get to or neal milestones we start looking at it differently than normal.

everyone else thanks for the comments and the support ;)
