Such a great story and very much an inspiration to me, partly due to its similarity to my own. I am approaching the 100 lbs lost mark and haven't done any fad diets or any programs, just changes to my eating and the addition of exercise. My question/observation is this... I've noticed that for the last couple of weeks, as the 100lbs lost milestone approaches, I am thinking about it more and more, and other people who are following my weight loss are talking about it. My losses have been good the last couple of weeks, but things seem to have slowed because it feels like with as long as I've been talking about 100lbs lost, I should be there already. I know it is purely mental, but was wondering if you, or anyone else, had encountered this perceived slowdown while approaching a milestone?

100lbs, when it comes, will be 1/3 of the way to my goal. I'm hoping to go from 499 lbs to right around 200 (I'm 6 feet tall).

And while I'm at it, a self-serving plug, I've just started my own weight loss blog and would love it if any interested parties felt like visiting and offering comments for feedback on my approach. http://thisbraindump.blogspot.com/

Thank youMadrakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12057115970897145014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3823908020431638884.post-58498408137680663412010-01-24T17:43:53.316-05:002010-01-24T17:43:53.316-05:00Saw your page on Sparks... If you have done this this long and still churn out numbers like 5 lbs you are doing great.

Are there activities and exercises you do with your family that are easier for you now like your first visit to the park when you had to rest. I sometimes focus on the things I am able to share with my family now in addition to the scale.
